I'm an Ireland-born, Scotland-based artist, musician, creative practitioner and social entrepreneur.

Music has been a constant thread throughout my life and work. As a composer, songwriter, vocalist and music producer, I work in both English and Gaeilge (Irish), a minority language that is an important part of my creative practice. I'm interested in creating music that explores identity, language, belonging and our relationship with each other and the natural world.

I enjoy working across different creative contexts, from writing and developing my own music to collaborating with other artists and bringing people together to make things happen.

I'm Founding Director of Music Broth, Scotland's Loudest Library, established in 2017, a charity and social enterprise making musical instruments and equipment more accessible through sharing, reuse and redistribution. Alongside creating opportunities for more people to make music, this approach helps extend the life of instruments, reduce waste and encourage more sustainable ways of accessing and using resources.

I'm passionate about making music and the wider music industry more inclusive, creating opportunities for people and challenging barriers to participation.

I’m a founding member of the Hen Hoose Safety Certification Scheme, supporting work to improve safety and create more equitable working environments for women and non-binary people in music. I established Playing With Sound, supporting women and non-binary music producers.

I'm also an adult and schools facilitator with Social Enterprise Academy and actively contribute to wider conversations and parliamentary activity through membership of The Scottish Parliament Cross Party Group for Music and Social Enterprise Policy Advisory Group.

I enjoy speaking, presenting and sharing experiences, particularly around creativity, social enterprise, music, collaboration and positive social change.

Although these different strands of work take me in different directions, they're connected by a shared interest in creativity, collaboration and creating opportunities for people.

I believe in the power of making things together, in challenging how things have always been done and in creating space for different voices and ideas.
